Miss Bellydance Uk® Competition Rules
Contestants will be judged on the following:
Technique, musical interpretation, performance, originality and presentation
All competition categories
1.Contestants must be 16 years of age or over
2.Contestants must live in the Uk.
3.Contestants must be present at the prize giving ceremony for their category/categories
4.By entering the competition you agree to photographic images of yourself/yourselves being used in
Miss Bellydance Uk publicity and advertising for current and future competitions.
5.By entering the competition you agree to your dance/s being featured in the Miss Bellydance Uk show
DVD
Oriental – solo
1. Music/dance style should be Oriental or Baladi with tabla solo section if desired
2. Music must be middle eastern
3.ONLY the following props are allowed single veil, sagat, stick, melaya
4. Music should be no longer than four minutes long
Fusion - Solo
1. Any style of bellydance fused with another dance form/steps/moves ie Tribal fusion, oriental/baladi
fusion, fantasy fusion , gothic bellydance etc
2. Use of any props is permitted in this category
3. Music – anything goes
4. Music should be no longer than four minutes long
Oriental - groups
1. Dance style should be inspired by Oriental bellydance but an element of fusion is permitted
2. Use of any props is permitted in this category
3. Music should be middle eastern
4. Music should be no longer than five minutes long
All contestants will be given individual or group feedback (where appropriate) from the judges. This can
prove to be an invaluable tool for self-development.
Contestants please note,all friends and family who accompany you to the competition will need to buy an
entry ticket
