Dancing to Live Drummers - The Basics with Shona and Chas - Shona has been
studying to master the art of drum solo for some years now and is also learning to play
arabic drum which has helped to deepen her understanding of this unique and
exciting aspect of bellydancing. This workshop will cover the basics of dancing with
live drummer and will include popular Egyptian rythyms and how to dance to them. As
well as shimmies, locks and pops and when to use them in a drum solo, essentials for
anyone wanting to master the essence of dancing a drum solo.

Modern Egyptian Technique with Fereshteh- Fereshteh has just returned from Cairo
where she has spent time studying directly with Randa Kamel, one of Egypts top
bellydancers. Fereshteh will break down the basic moves of the Modern style adding
specific 'Randa' style arms and accents.

poise, and have way too much diamond-spangled fun. Explore this fabulous dance
style and bring out your inner showgirl!
Please wear dance trousers/leggings and bring a comfortable pair of heels if you like,
plus bare feet/soft dance shoes for the warmup.

of the drummers decoration and accents.

widely listened to by Moroccans, used to express people's political views and feelings
via various groups.. danced in all different occasions, the dance requires different
shoulder shimmies, and circles and some hair sways, an absolute Joy and fun to do.

Cyber Fusion Power Drills with Dawn O'Brien
Turn on, Tune in and drill you inner cyborg in this intense and fun exploration into
Cyber Fusion style bellydance. We'll be focusing on crisp, sharp isolations with
emphasis on precision and control. Shift your dancing into maximum overdrive with
locks and pops, ticking and strobing and a whole host of robotic moves.

Focusing on many travelling moves and steps, connective motion and showing the
student how to take to the stage with character and confidence - this workshop
explores the drama involved in wowing (and scaring!) your audience! The perfect
workshop if you want to appear more confident in your dance. Be unexpected and
keep them on their toes!! Don't get lost on that big stage - Scare the hell out of it!

TAUGHT BY THE FABULOUS GWEN BOOTH,

multitude of geometric shapes and patterns over a variety of shimmies, while beat
matching your music every time. The first half of the class will demystifify the classic
and modern cannons of shimmy layer moevements, as well as introduce you to some of
Sabrina's own shimmy layer favourites. The second half of the class will put into

combinations into this peice yet allws time for you to develop that powerful saidi feel
within it. A great piece for performing either on stage or at parties.
If you have your own stick please bring it with you, if not, there will be spares...
Improver level which assumes knowledge of how to twirl your stick/assaya
