Shona is a sought after performer and teacher(JWAAD) of
Egyptian bellydance. Shona teaches popular weekly
classes in the Dorset area (Poole and Corfe Mullen), and
is in demand for giving workshops and performances
throughout the uk and in Spain. Before moving to the Uk
Shona had a successful career both as a teacher and
performer in Spain, where she owned her own dance
studio and had dance contracts with local restaurants,
tour companies and danced in five star hotels at
weddings and other events.
Shona is a dynamic, popular and vivacious performer and
teacher. As a performer she is noted for her
show(wo)manship, fabulous modern Egyptian style with
precise technique while at the same time making the
dance look effortless and natural. She is also known for
her excellent choreographies. Her workshops are fun
and energetic, whilst at the same time being informative
and thorough. Shona's teaching style is friendly, patient
and approachable.
Shona studied for her teaching diploma with JWAAD,
The Josephine Wise Academy of Arabic Dance. Besides
this, she has studied with many teachers and continues
to study the dance in any way that she can.
